§ XI. Material specifications.  


Latest version.
  • Materials used for construction of storm drainage facilities shall be durable and capable of being reasonably maintained. The following materials are acceptable. The City Engineer may, at his option, approve the use of other materials:

    1.

    Concrete: 4,000 psi compressive strength, air entrained

    2.

    Steel: ASTM A36, galvanized after fabrication

    3.

    Castings: ASTM A38, gray iron

    4.

    Riprap: Durable stone with loss not to exceed 15 percent after 5 cycles of ASTM D88

    5.

    Pipe:

    a.

    ASTM C76, reinforced concrete.

    b.

    AASHTO M190, corrugated steel with Type A bituminous coating, where permitted by City Engineer
