§ 12-4. Soliciting, vending, or sales activities on public streets prohibited.

  • (a)

    Notwithstanding, other ordinances to the contrary, no person or organization shall solicit for funds or offer for sale any merchandise on any public street, alley or thoroughfare without specific permission from the city council.

    (b)

    No person shall park a vehicle (vehicle shall mean as defined in 300.545 RSMo), in public parking spaces on Main Street from the intersection of Hwy 5, North to the bridge, for the purpose of selling or soliciting to sell any items from said vehicle, to pedestrians or motor vehicle occupants passing by said vehicle.

    (c)

    No person shall sell or solicit from any public sidewalk on Main Street from the intersection of Hwy 5, North to the bridge, if this activity leaves less than 60 inches clearance.

    (d)

    No person shall sell or solicit from public parkways on Main Street from the intersection of Hwy 5, North to the bridge.
