§ 14-8. Blasting.

  • No person shall blast or cause to be blasted with powder or other explosive substances, any rock or other substances, without having such rock or other substances, at the time of setting off the blast, covered on all sides of the orifice with approved materials, so placed as to prevent fragments of the rock or other substances from ascending into the air. The mayor may issue permits for blasting without protection whenever in his judgment it may be done without danger, and under such restrictions as he may deem proper.
