§ 2-17. Warrants.

  • (a)

    In all cases of accounts audited and allowed against the city and for the payment of which the mayor and council by ordinance shall make the necessary appropriation, it shall be the duty of the city clerk to draw a warrant on the city clerk for the amount due. All warrants drawn upon the city clerk shall be signed by the mayor and the city clerk shall attest the same and affix thereto the seal of the city.

    (b)

    Warrants drawn upon the city clerk shall be in the following form:

    No. _____ $_____

    Office of City Clerk, City of Boonville, Mo., _____ day of ________.

    TO THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF BOONVILLE, MO.:

    Pay to the order of ___________, _____ dollars, out of any money in the City Clerk belonging to the _______ fund appropriated to the payment of city expenditures.

    Given under our hands and the seal of the City of Boonville, Mo., ________.
