§ 2-123. Passage of ordinance at same meeting introduced.

  • No ordinance shall be introduced, read and passed at the same council meeting, unless the proposed ordinance shall receive a yea vote from at least three-fourths of all council members attending and voting at said council meeting, with a minimum of five yes votes required. If said proposed ordinance fails to receive the required three-fourths majority, final passage cannot be considered until the next regular council meeting or next regular recessed council meeting.
