§ 21-1. Duty of superintendent.

The superintendent of public works shall be in charge of and shall be responsible to the board of public works and the city for the operation and maintenance of the city's combined waterworks and sewerage system and shall cooperate with the other officers and representatives of the city in administering, carrying out and enforcing the provisions of this chapter.
